What is the principle of a pulse igniter? How does the pulse igniter operate?

  • Release time: 2023-03-07

1. Principle of pulse igniter - Introduction

Pulse igniter, referred to as pulse igniter, is an electronic product that uses the pulse principle to generate a continuous instantaneous electric spark, thereby igniting the flame of a gas appliance. In the early days, most pulsers used dry batteries as their power source, but in recent years, most products have switched to alternating current as their power source. With the improvement of industrial technology, the production cost of pulsers has been reduced. Currently, they have been widely used in mid to high-end gas appliances, greatly facilitating the use of customers and improving the level of product automation.

2. Pulse igniter principle - function

The main functions of the pulse ignition controller system are: safety self inspection; Ignition control; Flameout protection; Fault alarm. The system design uses a single chip microcomputer as the main control device to achieve the design of a pulse ignition controller for gas stoves, update existing gas stoves, and improve product quality. By adding pulse ignition circuits and flame detection circuits to the hardware and optimizing the ignition control sequence in the software, the stability and safety of the entire gas system are ensured.

3. Principle of pulse igniter - Working principle

The pulse igniter is a pulse high-frequency oscillator composed of electronic components. The high-frequency voltage generated by the oscillator is raised to a high voltage of 15KV through a step-up transformer for tip discharge. The discharged spark ignites the gas on the burner. This igniter has a high ignition rate and can continuously discharge electricity. Press the knob to start the ignition of the pulse igniter; Release the knob to pulse off the ignition.

4. Pulse igniter principle - application

Pulse igniters can be used for the direct ignition of gas fuel, liquid fuel burners, or flares, without the need for other auxiliary ignition means. They are widely used for the open flame ignition of gas fuel or liquid fuel burners in various water heater industrial furnaces. By setting the ignition time independently, stable ignition of the combustion system is achieved, which is convenient, fast, time-saving, and labor-saving, with high reliability.
